Period Embossed Victorian Tiles – Shower Area Recommendations

Not all shades of Period Embossed Victorian tiles are suitable for showers or areas with prolonged water exposure.

Glazes containing oxide will naturally develop crazing over time, a characteristic of traditionally manufactured ceramic tiles.

Recommended Shades:

• Snowdrop
• Magnolia
• Victorian Black

These shades are suitable for showers and other wet areas. However, we do not recommend using other shades in such conditions. This guidance also applies to Metro tiles.

Using Non-Recommended Shades:

If you still wish to use other shades, you must apply a waterproofing sealer. These sealers for tiles and grout are available at most reputable hardware stores. Consult with the retailer to ensure you select the correct product for ceramic tiles. LTP Sealers is one suggested brand.
