Application
Do not grout tiles immediately after fixing. Leave for a few days to be sure that the adhesive has had time to set properly before grouting. Mix with water to a trowelling consistency and apply with a grouting float. After 30 minutes wipe off the excess with a damp cloth.
Manufacturer’s advice
The coverage of Heat Resistant Tile Grout is approximately 2 square metre per kg for 200mm x 200mm tiles with a 3mm joint.
Heat resistant tile grout is used to seal joins between the tiles and prevent moisture from being able to get behind them. The correct use of tile grouts is extremely important because without correct grouting, moisture can cause the tiles to sag, spoiling the appearance of the tiling and they may event fall right off. Heat resistant tile grout for use with fireplaces have specific properties which make them particularly suitable for the purpose of withstanding very high temperatures of up to to 1000°C. Our tile grouts are intended for grouting tiles which have been fixed with Heat Resistant Tile Adhesive.
